Sea N Soul Bistro was founded by Ruben Louis, a Brooklyn native born and raised in the vibrant Flatbush community — a place where Caribbean flavors, street-corner soul, and neighborhood pride shape every part of life. Growing up surrounded by the aromas of island kitchens and the rhythm of Brooklyn culture, Ruben carried those memories with him wherever he went. The heart of Sea N Soul Bistro, however, was sparked at home. Inspired by the Caribbean dishes Ruben grew up loving and the soul-food recipes passed down through his wife, the idea for a new kind of comfort cuisine started bubbling. Together, they blended their roots — the warmth of Southern cooking and the boldness of Caribbean flavor — into something authentic, heartfelt, and unforgettable. In 2022, Sea N Soul Bistro opened its doors with one mission: to create a place where Southern comfort kisses Caribbean flavor.
